Lesson 3 - Ain't Nothing But a G Thang

One word for this song… TONE!

What does this mean?

Tone is the sound that you produce from holding down the frets and plucking. Bad sounding tone involves buzzing and dead sounding notes. Good tone is clean, ringing angelic notes.

So look out for bad tone.

How to correct it?

The lesson has some practical tips. But if that doesn’t help just being mindful that your tone isn’t great is good enough. It will improve over time.

The challenging part of this song is keeping the bass notes of the chords held down while your moving other fingers around.

Start slow, focus practice one bar at a time.

Enjoy 🙂
