My My Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue) by Neil Young

Here’s my guitar lesson for My My Hey Hey by Neil Young.

To play in the original key (on the recording) you must tune all your strings down a WHOLE STEP.

This means:

E goes down to D

A to G

D – C

G – F

B – A

E – D

I love the riff used in this song. Such a simple yet effective use of bass notes.

Getting the rhythm right (especially the rhythm of the Fmaj7 chord in-between the riffs) really brings this song to life.

Keep on playing 🙂
