Lesson 21 - Rising

Rising has a very unusual tuning. The notes are explained in the video.

The point of this lesson is to show you that alternate tunings can go as far as your imagination and theory knowledge will take you. Just remember to base your tunings on some kind of open chord. For example this song is based loosely on an Esus4. You can also experiement with dropping or rising tuning staying with the releative distance of standard tuning. For an example of this see the next lesson (Sulk).

Rising has a challenging fret stretch and a couple of unusual picking patterns. Aim for a sweeping and grandoise style.
