This lesson is all about listening and finding the rhythm pattern for yourself (even if it's a simpler version of the real thing) If the song is too fast and you can't keep up then use a program on your PC like Transcribe or Riffstation to import the MP3 and slow it down without effecting the pitch. There's also a great iso app called Anytune If you can't do the chord changes fast enough then figuring out the rhythm will be much harder. Listen to the drums and the guitar when working out your own rhythms. Learn to recognise when the tone changes in the music. You'll notice I'm humming certain parts. You don't have to be a singer, but the rule is if you can sing or tap along with the music then you can play it on the guitar. Use a simple beat and start placing your chords in the right places. The video explains more.
