Basically most rock and pop songs follows this system. Once you know the key, most songs fit into this system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, not all chords have to fit the formula of Major &#8211; Minor &#8211; Minor &#8211; Major &#8211; Major &#8211; Minor &#8211; Dim. (You&#8217;ll learn about this in the video). Sometimes the rule is broken and seven or suspended chords are used instead.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"LEFT\">There&#8217;s a lot of text to write out for this one so <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.learnguitarinlondon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Lesson-14-TAB-9-The-Revelations-Of-The-Nashville-System.pdf\">I&#8217;ve made this helpful PDF document<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span> to help you understand and apply this system. Please read, download and print it for future reference.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Please commit the below system to memory!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Nashville System Chords + Numbers:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">1 = Major &#8211; 2 = Minor &#8211; 3 = Minor &#8211; 4 = Major &#8211; 5 = Major &#8211; 6 = Minor &#8211; 7 = Diminished (dim) &#8211; 8 = Major<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>HOMEWORK:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>1st Part<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Please write out the notes in the major scale in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Key of G<\/strong><\/span>. Then figure out the chords using the above system.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Please play the chords associated with the key of G. Try randomising them. Try using the 1 &#8211; 4 &#8211; 5 chords. They always sound great.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Once you&#8217;ve done this in the key of G then use the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Key of D<\/strong><\/span> and do exactly the same system. Finally try the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Key of E.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>2nd Part<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Please look at the chords for the 2 songs below. I&#8217;ve written the key for each song. Can you please write out the number system for each chord of the song and email it to me.
