Also, once you&#8217;ve hit the hammer on leave your finger pressed down to let the hammered note ring out. You can use the bottom of your finger callous to hit the string with a hammer on.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The biggest pitfall with both techniques as a beginner is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">playing them too quickly.<\/span> Remember, just because it&#8217;s your fretting hand picking the note it doesn&#8217;t mean there&#8217;s any less rhythm.
