Before catching up on the webinar above please follow these 2 steps:
1) If you don’t know the major scale and it’s interval names please watch this beginners lesson. The Amazing Major Scale – Video 48 – PSA I will recap this at the webinar, but it won’t be a detailed lesson.
2) Go to this page: Earmaster – Interval Song Chart Generator and select the songs you recognise the most in the “Ascending List”. Then go to the bottom of this page and click the Create Interval Example Chart button. Then print this page.
3) Watch the first webinar in this ear study series. You can catch up on this by scrolling below.
HOMEWORK FOR THE WEBINAR:
After watching the webinar figure out how to play this song in the key of D major. Once you’ve got it email me your answers in audio or TAB format.
SONG TO WORK OUT (All notes are played on the D string)
Here are 20 interval tests. Each root starts on an open string. First establish the open string (first note played) then work out the ascending interval that proceeds it. Email me your answers numbered 1 to 20. As a tip, always answer with your first thought (gut instinct). Don’t over think the intervals.
